Giambattista Tiepolo’s paintings and drawings have been sought after by international collectors since he was around to produce them. Although many of his non-portable works, especially frescoes, are concentrated in and around Venice, there are scores of wonderful drawings, etchings and oil paintings on view in museums around the world. Get out and see some of them. Websites may whet the appetite, book illustrations can give a flavor, but nothing compares to seeing these works of art for real.
